Paxman: ok well tell us about how you first discovered the online mafia world and how long back was this?

Yoh-Boo: I was looking on the internet for a game I used to play at uni but I couldn't remember what the name was so I was just searching some sites with names of games.
Yoh-Boo: Read the description of TMB and thought it was interesting so i decided to try it out. this was in march 2007

Paxman: oh another one who started there, and what were your first impressions of that game and online mafia gaming?

Yoh-Boo: didnt exactly know what the purpose of the game was when i started. was just doing something lol
Yoh-Boo: but it wasnt too difficult to play otherwise I would've quit after a while.
Yoh-Boo: hmm my first impression of TMB and online mafia gaming was that it had an interactive aspect to it. I was able to talk to people all over the world instead of only talking to people in the Netherlands...my home country :) very interesting

Paxman: oh so at first it was mainly a way of meeting people from abroad?

Yoh-Boo: kinda and to practise my English

Paxman: lol i think you are the first person who has given an educational reason for playing mafia games! Did any of the gaming aspects appeal to you at first or was it just the interaction you liked?

Yoh-Boo: hehe well it has to have a purpose right?
Yoh-Boo: I've always been in a collecting family so the aspect of trying to gain as much money as possible is quite appealing.
Yoh-Boo: but later it changed for TMB :) got to lead the fam I joined so that was the thing i did most

Paxman: oh so you would describe yourself as more of a collector than an attacker in the early days? what fams were you collecting for since you first started that game?

Yoh-Boo: yes deffo collector. did some attacking but it frustrates me when nobody is in range to hit lol
Yoh-Boo: I started in the Renegades union, dont know with which union we were banking with to be honest...can't remember, maybe coz i never ranked at that time hehe
Yoh-Boo: stayed in Renegades ever since...we have been with sin_city, Epic and some others and now we've been with Generation for a long time

Paxman: oh so you are still playing TMB now with Renegades?

Yoh-Boo: yep still play TMB, boss of one of the oldest fams in the union

Paxman: wow you climbed the ranks there I see, how do you find being don?

Yoh-Boo: been lucky =) I like being don of my fam, gives me something to do while building turns to either build or collect. and it gets you to talk to other people in different fams instead of only talking to your own members Yoh-Boo: it's a bit like management as well lol

Paxman: you are coming up to your two year anniversary on TMB, are there any memorable rounds you would like to recall or memorable incidents from your two years there?

Yoh-Boo: the round that i got my first and only individual rank so far there and last round when i got to be boss for the ranking fam for the last couple hours

Paxman: would you like to mention any friends you have made on TMB?

Yoh-Boo: Gissmo, Lulubeth, Deadmeat and DonJon...Daggerz as well but got to know him at another game. and welsh_man, he's always there no matter what

Paxman: ok well I believe TMB is not the only game you have played, how many others are there?

Yoh-Boo: lol I've signed up for so many I cannot count them any more. reduced them to 3 which I play full-time

Paxman: lol ok lets focus on those 3! which ones are they and for each one, what kept you playing them which separated them from the others?

Yoh-Boo: TMB, kept me playing coz it's the first game I ever played...learned how to play there. EMW, play it for the poker nights and for being able to be in a fam with Lulubeth and Gissmo again since they left mine on TMB. ML...just the best :)

Paxman: what is it that makes ML the best in your opinion?

Yoh-Boo: the interface, the people that play it and the options it has given me how to play it.

Paxman: lol ok, well lets talk about that game, what round did you first join the game and which fam did you join?

Yoh-Boo: I started playing in round 5 and joined Renegades

Paxman: oh the same fam as in TMB? Who brought the fam to ML and who brought you to the game?

Yoh-Boo: yeh same fam :) I believe Balller got Lulubeth to play and she made the fam there...she asked me to help out so I did.

Paxman: and you fell in love with the game straight away or were you still attached to the others?

Yoh-Boo: still liked to play my other games. I only joined in the last day to get the fam nw up actually lol it took me quite a while to start liking to play ML.
Yoh-Boo: I hate to get 00d and thats all I got in the first rounds

Paxman: lol yes i think that is often the case with new fams. How long did it take for Renegades to get established on ML?

Yoh-Boo: lol indeed. well the fam has been around ever since round 5 but i guess it started to grow most 10 rounds later.
Yoh-Boo: we changed boss and consig and spent more time to get the fam going

Paxman: oh who were the original boss and consig and who did it change to and why?

Yoh-Boo: Lulubeth was the original boss and I think the consig spot was rotated between DonJon and Fenris. Lulu didnt find enough time to play the game so she gave the task to both DJ and me. actually the same what happened on TMB :) we took over there as well

Paxman: oh i see, you as boss and DJ as consig?

Yoh-Boo: nah more like we're equal, work together as a team...not much difference between boss and consig for us

Paxman: oh like co-dons? Tell us about DJ and your relationship with him

Yoh-Boo: I guess so. DJ is the funniest guy I've ever talked to on these games. I can laugh a lot about what he does and says. worked together with him for ages now and can't imagine ML without him
Yoh-Boo: he's like the one that comes up with the strategies for the rounds and I'm more the one that is concerned with the other fams in the game

Paxman: oh so you deal with the relations with other fams and he concentrates on the Renegade plans?

Yoh-Boo: yes although I do have my say in the plans of course

Paxman: i see, I think most co-dons have had occasions when they dont always see eye to eye. Have you and DJ had such occasions or has it been plain sailing?

Yoh-Boo: hehe we've had our moments of disagreements but we make up pretty fast

Paxman: lol would you like to mention any of those disagreements and what they were about?

Yoh-Boo: oh its always about ranks, dont always agree with the way we've done it so far. but things will change eventually lol

Paxman: lol yes that is a common source of disputes! Mr Blonde and Prince Alex have also mentioned that they bought their families from TMB to ML with their own particular styles of play. How would you describe the Renegade philosophy?

Yoh-Boo: umm the Renegade philosophy, I'd say it is get as much as possible. in every aspect of the game

Paxman: In his interview with us, Shawn called Renegades the 'snake' family. what do you think he meant by this and how would you respond to this allegation?

Yoh-Boo: lol Shawn's interview, the funniest one I've ever read
Yoh-Boo: I actually dont know what mustve been going through his head at that time, can't say I agree with Renegades being a 'snake' family whatever that is. Don't make accusations that aren't based on true facts and take the time to look at your own actions and see what could've been the cause for behaviour towards yourself
Yoh-Boo: coz as far as I know Shawn has done some sneaky things himself and every time we find out he denies it. stand up for your actions

Paxman: what sneaky things has he been behind?

Yoh-Boo: banking up people to kill/loot his own allies/naps

Paxman: Shawn is clearly one of the most famous/infamous players on the game. What do you think of him as a player and a person?

Yoh-Boo: yes I do believe most people have heard of him, in bad and good ways i guess. as a player...he's got some good followers but in my eyes he uses them too much for his own benefit. as a person...don't know him very well, all I can say is he has to learn when to draw a line as to the things he says to people. there are times he said things to me and my friends that shouldnt be said to anyone

Paxman: ok before we continue with your personal ML story, lets take some questions on the ML community. Who would you say is the funniest person/people on ML?

Yoh-Boo: DJ, zero, mickey and deo

Paxman: can you recall any particular funny incidents with them?

Yoh-Boo: DJ always does funny things, cant really recall any that are sticking out. I talk to zero a lot on msn when he's on...just about random stuff and mickey and deo are just funny. the way they talk and what they say

Paxman: Best poker player?

Yoh-Boo: Tonyg, nobody understands the game better than him

Paxman: Smartest person and why?

Yoh-Boo: A, he always has an answer to every question I ask.

Paxman: Favorite emoticon on ML?

Yoh-Boo: lmao that's deffo the mml one Yoh-Boo: it looks so cute and happy

Yoh-Boo: most annoying...that are the people that wont leave me alone whenever I say I'm busy...mostly they want to ask me for money or an invite to my fam at eor while it's clearly full

Yoh-Boo: don't like calling names but one of them is big_dogg...he's quite funny but so annoying

Yoh-Boo: it's just the way she plays the game. I've seen her in every fam so far...never sticks around somewhere long enough...just a girl i don't like lol can happen

Yoh-Boo: best killer is madness...like to see him going crazy lol and best collector depends on if you count the people that spent loads of creds to get money or just the smaller players. dj1069 is a good collector. and for the big players I'd say A

Yoh-Boo: hate isnt an emotion you should have over people in a game...not even in real life. if you don't like a person, just ignore him/her

Yoh-Boo: There is always someone on to talk to

Yoh-Boo: A, we'd have the most craziest fam boards

Yoh-Boo: I dont know anyone from real life that plays the game. wouldnt mind meeting some players though. at least hope to meet Sionx one day

Yoh-Boo: lol there's not really someone that scares me. but I guess you don't want to have madness as your enemy

Yoh-Boo: most people in my fam to Renagades

Yoh-Boo: oh there are many people I would never hit...unless they hit me first lol just to make a statement never to do it again. but I cannot imagine ever attacking Sionx or A

Yoh-Boo: anyone that goes from fam to fam just because they can get a better rank there

Yoh-Boo: Sionx and A

Paxman: Have you ever made a threat to anyone that worked? If yes what was it and to who?

Yoh-Boo: I don't threaten people...maybe have done it on TMB a couple times though. always works lmao
Yoh-Boo: but mostly I don't need to threaten...I will find my way to get things done

Yoh-Boo: lol just to say I will attack their fam if they don't kick someone out

Paxman: ok getting back to your personal ML story, what has been your favorite and worst rounds any why?

Yoh-Boo: round 34 has been the best round so far...all my friends in one fam :) worst rounds were the early ones when we tried to set up the family. bad rounds can help you to learn from your mistakes though

Paxman: yes thats true, and what would you say has been the best round for your family?

Yoh-Boo: best rounds for my family were when we worked together with Killerman and when I decided to join the baby union, from that moment everything went a lot better

Paxman: oh so Renegades are still part of that union?

Yoh-Boo: it's not really something you can call union actually. it's just strong alliances between certain fams and if the need is there you can ask for help...I hope :)

Paxman: What would you say are the strong and weak points of your Family?

Yoh-Boo: strong points are the loyal people that are part of the fam, we can build on those. as a weak point I can mention the fact that we are not that big lol and do not have any big big supporters in here

Paxman: How about the other regular fams on the game? For each one, tell us what you
think about their styles of play and the person/people in charge

Yoh-Boo: Mob, needs to have a lot of fams to get to where they are now...they're ok but can be better. I think it's Shawn who is in charge now, not doing a bad job at it
Yoh-Boo: Madhouse/slammers...good members, big players. DHW has done a great job together with madness and luca
Yoh-Boo: baby fams, friendly style of playing with nice people. A and freak work together to get good results
Yoh-Boo: fightclub, seem to be doing a good job, dont know much about what they are doing actually. rebelchick has good control over her fams
Yoh-Boo: tarantino, different style of playing from the rest. blonde and wolf have done a lot to get the fam to where it is and I hope they can keep it strong Yoh-Boo: coffee shop, unpredictable :) quite new fam...fugazi and bono did well.

Paxman: I believe you have been having an ongoing fight with 'Mr_Penis'. Can you tell us the story behind this dispute?

Yoh-Boo: No we arent having any kind of fight at all. How could I fight with such a wonderful, sweet and kind-hearted person? Almost everybody on ML finds him extremely lovable. The thing we like about him most is his maturity, intelligence and compassionate nature. If only everybody could be a little more like Mr-Penis, the world would be a much better place.

Paxman: Who would you say are your closest allies as a fam?

Yoh-Boo: in my opinion the closest allies are the baby fams. not sure what DJ thinks though

Paxman: lol can you tell us the story behind your name? what does it mean and why did you choose it?

Yoh-Boo: lol my name.. so far only hustla could guess what i meant with it. it doesnt really mean anything to me...it's just like you read it, first Yoh...and then Boo...like in saying yo to boo lol its a crazy name but can't change it since everybody already knows me with this one. Chose it coz I needed one and thought it was a nice one..

Paxman: haha Have you ever lost your cool on the game?

Yoh-Boo: lol yes a couple of times. when things get too much I can explode hehe I try not to though...the things I say at those times arent exactly the nicest things. But well...good thing is I calm down after a while again and can laugh with the others about what I said or did

Paxman: lol can you recall some of the things you have said in the past when angry?

Yoh-Boo: omg lol if you really want to know what I said ask A about one time...had a fight at the fam board and he was there as well lol. umm might have mentioned to chop ones balls off :| but that was more as a joke lol

Paxman: What do you think of admin on ML and are there any changes you would like to see them make?
Yoh-Boo: the admins and moderators on ML are the best I've seen. always wanting to help and I can count on them to call poker games =)
Yoh-Boo: as for changes, I asked for a different colour than yellow for bosses lol maybe a range of colours you can choose from yourself...sometimes I get crazy of seeing too much yellow on the fam board.
Yoh-Boo: and maybe get the option to hire protection like another game had. you pay with credits to get 6, 12 or 24 hours of protection

Paxman: How about the ranking system currently in place, are you happy with it or would you like to see any changes?

Yoh-Boo: I'm happy with the current ranking system, much better than the system in the early days

Paxman: Who would you say you have been most dissapointed by and why?

Yoh-Boo: hmm sometimes i disappoint myself by acting before thinking

Yoh-Boo: I occasionally add creds to attack someone lol without thinking will I get them back

Yoh-Boo: I would like to see my fam do well and get a 1st position one day, and maybe win 1st lvl3...in the future.

Paxman: Have you ever come close to acheiving this or still working on it?

Yoh-Boo: came close with the 1st fam position but that was in collaboration with others, would want to see us do it on our own. and I'm still working on the win 1st lvl3 lol

Paxman: On average, how many hours a day do you spend on the game?

Yoh-Boo: too much

Yoh-Boo: the combination of trying out different strategies to get to your goal, poker games and getting to know other people

Yoh-Boo: I have no idea what the real life mafia is like and it's not an important aspect to me

Yoh-Boo: gotta admit that I can't really remember a lot from when I was really young...but I do remember the time that my dad was making a little pond in our garden. not sure if that's the earliest one though

Yoh-Boo: a couple years ago when I got the call from my teacher that I passed all my exams for high school

Yoh-Boo: the photo I have of when I was younger with my grandfather

Yoh-Boo: my grandmother, after all she's been through she's still a happy woman

Yoh-Boo: thinking of how life may end do not try and think of it too much though, I am a rather positive thinking person.

Yoh-Boo: In a nice village in Ireland. Fell in love with the country while spending my summer holidays over there
