DarkHustle: TMB... I don't play that one much anymore... it isn't that I don't like it.. DarkHustle: oh wait.. DarkHustle: I don't.

Paxman: lol.. what was it that changed your mind about that game?

DarkHustle: I saw how other sites were run, and were not run by the big supporters. DarkHustle: its tough when the big boys dump a G into the game and I wonder how my rent will be paid...

Paxman: ah so you think its too t easy for the big sups to do well by just getting out the credit card?

DarkHustle: yes I do. DarkHustle: its like this DarkHustle: how well can i do if I have 100k DU vs 1,000,000?

DarkHustle: I started with RedRum for most of a round, and then went with Phoenix for 60 rounds, then went to Cosa_Nostra for the rest of them...

Paxman: oh ok, and what would you say was the main focus of each of those fams?

DarkHustle: well Phoenix and COsa were warring fams.. DarkHustle: but I didn't really learn how to war until ML.. lol

Paxman: i see. was the ability to war the main thing which attracted you to the games in the first place?

DarkHustle: I can honestly say that I have no idea what made the games stick with me...

Paxman: lol thats interesting, how do you explain it to friends/family if they ask you about it?

DarkHustle: I lie.. I say I am doing some work... DarkHustle: (thats where the addict comes in)

Paxman: hehe secret habit? how many hours would you say you devote to the games on an average day?

DarkHustle: I try to log on at least once a day.. BUT when I do get on, its usually for an hour or two... So i guess that isn't so bad...

DarkHustle: I play MobsterLord, Themafiagods, and WorldMobs.com.... they are the only 3 i play at a time...

DarkHustle: round 1, and I really don't remember what fam...

DarkHustle: yeah.. I definitely do.. lol DarkHustle: I was a loner for quite some time.. DarkHustle: i taught myself how to loot DarkHustle: I started hitting this guy... I won't ever forget the wars me and him had.. It was EVERY round for probably 6 or 7..

DarkHustle: yes.

Paxman: tell us about the life of a looter. What are the postive and negative aspects of playing as a looter?

DarkHustle: really there are no negatives...
DarkHustle: you keep a set amount in the bank.

DarkHustle: and you rob anyone in range.

Paxman: can you tell us about who you worked with and what was your relationship with them like?

DarkHustle: I can. DarkHustle: DR worked with DonJon and the Renegades for a while. until a substantial chunk was stolen.... DarkHustle: then we went to Shawn with Mob, and he ALWAYS kept his word... DarkHustle: then we ranked ourselves a few times.

Paxman: oh yes Emcee told us that after a while you started taking on more people and trained them in looting. What was the motive behind this decision to expand?

DarkHustle: absolutely. not necessarily to have more than one fam, but to make ours a stronger family DarkHustle: our "trainees" are still with us... lol DarkHustle: carlito DarkHustle: Jun DarkHustle: Vito DarkHustle: Where is Crow? Yoh-Boo: I was looking on the internet for a game I used to play at uni but I couldn't remember what the name was so I was just searching some sites with names of games.
Yoh-Boo: Read the description of TMB and thought it was interesting so i decided to try it out. this was in march 2007

Paxman: oh another one who started there, and what were your first impressions of that game and online mafia gaming?

Yoh-Boo: didnt exactly know what the purpose of the game was when i started. was just doing something lol
Yoh-Boo: but it wasnt too difficult to play otherwise I would've quit after a while.
Yoh-Boo: hmm my first impression of TMB and online mafia gaming was that it had an interactive aspect to it. I was able to talk to people all over the world instead of only talking to people in the Netherlands...my home country :) very interesting

Paxman: oh so at first it was mainly a way of meeting people from abroad?

Yoh-Boo: kinda and to practise my English

Paxman: lol i think you are the first person who has given an educational reason for playing mafia games! Did any of the gaming aspects appeal to you at first or was it just the interaction you liked?

Yoh-Boo: hehe well it has to have a purpose right?
Yoh-Boo: I've always been in a collecting family so the aspect of trying to gain as much money as possible is quite appealing.
Yoh-Boo: but later it changed for TMB :) got to lead the fam I joined so that was the thing i did most

Paxman: oh so you would describe yourself as more of a collector than an attacker in the early days? what fams were you collecting for since you first started that game?

Yoh-Boo: yes deffo collector. did some attacking but it frustrates me when nobody is in range to hit lol
Yoh-Boo: I started in the Renegades union, dont know with which union we were banking with to be honest...can't remember, maybe coz i never ranked at that time hehe
Yoh-Boo: stayed in Renegades ever since...we have been with sin_city, Epic and some others and now we've been with Generation for a long time

Paxman: oh so you are still playing TMB now with Renegades?

Yoh-Boo: yep still play TMB, boss of one of the oldest fams in the union

Paxman: wow you climbed the ranks there I see, how do you find being don?

Yoh-Boo: been lucky =) I like being don of my fam, gives me something to do while building turns to either build or collect. and it gets you to talk to other people in different fams instead of only talking to your own members Yoh-Boo: it's a bit like management as well lol

Paxman: you are coming up to your two year anniversary on TMB, are there any memorable rounds you would like to recall or memorable incidents from your two years there?

Yoh-Boo: the round that i got my first and only individual rank so far there and last round when i got to be boss for the ranking fam for the last couple hours

Paxman: would you like to mention any friends you have made on TMB?

Yoh-Boo: Gissmo, Lulubeth, Deadmeat and DonJon...Daggerz as well but got to know him at another game. and welsh_man, he's always there no matter what

Paxman: ok well I believe TMB is not the only game you have played, how many others are there?

Yoh-Boo: lol I've signed up for so many I cannot count them any more. reduced them to 3 which I play full-time

Paxman: lol ok lets focus on those 3! which ones are they and for each one, what kept you playing them which separated them from the others?

Yoh-Boo: TMB, kept me playing coz it's the first game I ever played...learned how to play there. EMW, play it for the poker nights and for being able to be in a fam with Lulubeth and Gissmo again since they left mine on TMB. ML...just the best :)

Paxman: what is it that makes ML the best in your opinion?

Yoh-Boo: the interface, the people that play it and the options it has given me how to play it.

Yoh-Boo: yeh same fam :) I believe Balller got Lulubeth to play and she made the fam there...she asked me to help out so I did.

Paxman: and you fell in love with the game straight away or were you still attached to the others?

Yoh-Boo: still liked to play my other games. I only joined in the last day to get the fam nw up actually lol it took me quite a while to start liking to play ML.
Yoh-Boo: I hate to get 00d and thats all I got in the first rounds

Paxman: lol yes i think that is often the case with new fams. How long did it take for Renegades to get established on ML?

Yoh-Boo: lol indeed. well the fam has been around ever since round 5 but i guess it started to grow most 10 rounds later.
Yoh-Boo: we changed boss and consig and spent more time to get the fam going

Paxman: oh who were the original boss and consig and who did it change to and why?

Yoh-Boo: Lulubeth was the original boss and I think the consig spot was rotated between DonJon and Fenris. Lulu didnt find enough time to play the game so she gave the task to both DJ and me. actually the same what happened on TMB :) we took over there as well

Paxman: oh i see, you as boss and DJ as consig?

Yoh-Boo: nah more like we're equal, work together as a team...not much difference between boss and consig for us

Yoh-Boo: umm the Renegade philosophy, I'd say it is get as much as possible. in every aspect of the game

Don't make accusations that aren't based on true facts and take the time to look at your own actions and see what could've been the cause for behaviour towards yourself

Yoh-Boo: round 34 has been the best round so far...all my friends in one fam :) worst rounds were the early ones when we tried to set up the family. bad rounds can help you to learn from your mistakes though

Yoh-Boo: best rounds for my family were when we worked together with Killerman and when I decided to join the baby union, from that moment everything went a lot better

Yoh-Boo: it's not really something you can call union actually. it's just strong alliances between certain fams and if the need is there you can ask for help...I hope :)

Yoh-Boo: strong points are the loyal people that are part of the fam, we can build on those. as a weak point I can mention the fact that we are not that big lol and do not have any big big supporters in here

Yoh-Boo: Mob, needs to have a lot of fams to get to where they are now...they're ok but can be better. I think it's Shawn who is in charge now, not doing a bad job at it

Yoh-Boo: baby fams, friendly style of playing with nice people. A and freak work together to get good results
Yoh-Boo: fightclub, seem to be doing a good job, dont know much about what they are doing actually. rebelchick has good control over her fams
Yoh-Boo: tarantino, different style of playing from the rest. blonde and wolf have done a lot to get the fam to where it is and I hope they can keep it strong Yoh-Boo: coffee shop, unpredictable :) quite new fam...fugazi and bono did well.

Paxman: I believe you have been having an ongoing fight with 'Mr_Penis'. Can you tell us the story behind this dispute?

Yoh-Boo: No we arent having any kind of fight at all. How could I fight with such a wonderful, sweet and kind-hearted person? Almost everybody on ML finds him extremely lovable. The thing we like about him most is his maturity, intelligence and compassionate nature. If only everybody could be a little more like Mr-Penis, the world would be a much better place.

Paxman: Who would you say are your closest allies as a fam?

Yoh-Boo: in my opinion the closest allies are the baby fams. not sure what DJ thinks though

Yoh-Boo: lol yes a couple of times. when things get too much I can explode hehe I try not to though...the things I say at those times arent exactly the nicest things. But well...good thing is I calm down after a while again and can laugh with the others about what I said or did

Yoh-Boo: omg lol if you really want to know what I said ask A about one time...had a fight at the fam board and he was there as well lol. umm might have mentioned to chop ones balls off :| but that was more as a joke lol

Yoh-Boo: the admins and moderators on ML are the best I've seen. always wanting to help and I can count on them to call poker games =)
Yoh-Boo: as for changes, I asked for a different colour than yellow for bosses lol maybe a range of colours you can choose from yourself...sometimes I get crazy of seeing too much yellow on the fam board.
Yoh-Boo: and maybe get the option to hire protection like another game had. you pay with credits to get 6, 12 or 24 hours of protection

tonyg: Shawn.....not always in a positive way......but only by people who really dont know him

Paxman: lol yes we have seen in previous interviews that he is certainly one of the most divisive figures on ML. What is your opinion of him as a player and a person?

tonyg: as a person, he is a man of his word, honest and really a good person....as a player he is the consummate organizer....gets thing done through more different people than one could imagine

Paxman: Is there any player you would never hit not matter what happens between you?

tonyg: Temptress, shawn,Voo, and a few others

Paxman: Which person would you most like to join your family from outside the fam?

tonyg: wolf

tonyg: we started together in Tarallo...think he felt slighted and formed Tarantino

Paxman: do you think he was justified in feeling that way?

tonyg: i dont remember......i was more patient

tonyg: i dont hate anyone.....this is a game

tonyg: me

Paxman: lol Ive been asked to question you on this. What do you think of poker on ML? And who would you say are the other good players?

tonyg: i enjoy the game and there are a few who really understand the game but not many

Paxman: I think you take your name from a famous poker player? Is poker a big part of your life outside ML too?

tonyg: it is my name....not the poker player's...and i do play a bit outside the game

Paxman: lol ok.. do you have any tips for the other poker players on the game or want to keep it you yourself?

tonyg: i have already taken Yoh-Boo to another level with instructions....everyone else is on their own

Paxman: are there any changes you would like to see implemented by admin to the poker games here or is it good the way it is?

tonyg: i think for the most part it is fine.............perhaps a few larger entry fee games.......and at popular times more than one game simultaneously

Paxman: ok and finally on the poker questions, excluding yourself, who would you say are the best three and worst three poker players on ML?

tonyg: best...Yoh-Boo, Sioux, and A, worst...quite a few LOL

tonyg: don-jon is among the best

Paxman: lol one name which stands out for worst?

tonyg: dont remember his name but he was in the last one

Paxman: If you could give advice to 5 people on ML, who would they be and what advice would you give to each person?

tonyg: advice is the same to all....stay loyal and the family comes before individual accomplishment

Paxman: lol ok. lets get back to your personal story. Do you have any personal ambitions you would like to achieve before you eventually retire?

tonyg: make our union the one everyone wants to join

Paxman: what would you say are the strong points and weak points of your union?

tonyg: strength is in the loyalty of our members....the weakness is in some of the loose cannons we have

Paxman: Who would you say are your best friends on the game and please give a reason why you are fond of each person.

tonyg: Shawn because i trust and respect him, Temptress for the same reason, Yoh_Boo because she is nuts.

Paxman: On average, how many hours a day do you spend on ML and would you say you are addicted?

tonyg: not addicted to anything...........when my computer is compiling i am on........i spend a disproportionate amount of time on when i am banker in the Mini

Paxman: i see and what do you actually do most when you are on? Chatting with friends or plotting and such?

tonyg: making sure the family is continuing on the correct strategy, only chat with shawn in planning future stategies on msn.....and make sure the family is having fun on the family board

Paxman: what do you think of the other big fams on ML and their bosses? which fams do you most respect and most dislike?

tonyg: as i said before, i like wolf and his family. as for the others they do what they think is right to win..... have always and continue to respect A, and refreshing to see how much DonJon has matured in the last six months

Paxman: lol Im digging for dirt now, the fams you dislike?

tonyg: unpopular with our War General LordShin i refuse to agree to NAPS with any family....Allies or nothing and if they do not honor the commitment they go on the list....so far so good... i only dislike families who like to talk trash in my mailbox so far that has been kept to a minimum

Paxman: lol ok.. What do you think of admin on ML and are there any changes you would like to see them make aside from the poker related things you mentioned earlier?

tonyg: i think....and only a supposition, we have too many multis on this game...........i see the frozen players on occasion but it really can become a problem and i dont want to resort to my solution

Paxman: your solution being?

tonyg: you really want to hear it

Paxman: no i havent lol

tonyg: have you seen Good Will Hunting?

Paxman: oh yes with Matt Damon?

tonyg: The university he worked at is the university i attend......as part of my Doctoral program i am a teaching assistant to over 1000 of the brightest minds in the world.....we really dont want me to teach them this game and come on en masse and take it over do we?

Paxman: How about the ranking system we have, do you think it works well as it is or does it give supporters an unfair advantage?

tonyg: plus this is my diversion from all the time spent in academia

tonyg: not really........a few perks for supporters, not enough to tip the scale

Paxman: but you dont think its too easy for sups to pull out a credit card and 'buy' success as others have said?

tonyg: shawn didnt use a credit card to win jp last round just the support of the union

Paxman: ok but thats a rare exception, right?

tonyg: as i recall.....only Voo and Mad did what you say and at least for a bit Mad was gone

Paxman: lol ok. finally on the ML questions, does the game bare any resemblance to the real life mafia for you or is that just like a theme and not really important to the game?

tonyg: I live in the NorthEnd of Boston.....entirely old country Italian........the people outside the University i associate with are all connected with real life mafia members and they get a huge laugh when i tell them about this game.....has little relationship to real life

Paxman: lol so you are involved with them in real life or you just know them?

tonyg: Just associates....i learned to speak Italian to enjoy the restaurants and met a few of these people.....have dinner with them and get invited to some parties
